Kauai Retreat - October 2017

Six days on the island of Kauai gave us four full days to create from sunrise to sunset, exploring some of the most incredible locations the island has to offer.

With three models along for the adventure, we photographed everywhere from the iconic Hanalei Pier and the sweeping views of Waimea Canyon to the remote sands at the end of the road at Polihale Beach. We took the experience horseback along Mahaulepu Beach, chased sunrises and sunsets around the island, and closed out our final night with a sunset mermaid session at Keiki Cove Beach.

There were no sponsors, no formal partnerships and no complicated production behind it—just Bikinis & Lace, our models, the wardrobe we brought together, and six days of creating in one unforgettable place.

Kauai was our first true retreat, and the trip that sparked the idea of bringing models together in destination locations to create, explore and build something bigger than a single photo session. The format has evolved over the years, but the foundation started here.
